The New Orleans real estate market is growing and rebuilding post Katrina.
The Gulf Opportunity Zone Act of 2005 (the “Go Zone Act”)
provides tax incentives to individuals and businesses impacted by hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma. Tax deferred 1031 exchanges are used by investors to defer the recaptured depreciation and federal capital gains taxes.
Atlas 1031 Exchange maintains an office in Houston and Destin to serve individuals, trusts, hospitals, business owners, corporations and referrals from Lenders, Realtors, CPAs, Attorneys, Financial Planners and Title Companies. There are many
types of exchanges including forward or delayed, simultaneous, reverse, build to suit and personal property exchanges. Each follows
similar guidelines, exchange rules and requirements.
Atlas 1031 Exchange manages each exchange carefully, depositing exchange proceeds in non comingled interest bearing accounts. The Exchangor receives all interest earned. Each account is insured by Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation
(FDIC)
up to $100,000. Multiple accounts can be created at no additional fee. We carry a Fidelity Bond, Errors and Omission Insurance. A
Certified Exchange Specialist
(CES®) is on staff to insure your exchange is handled properly and questions patiently answered.
