A 1031 exchange has long been a tax deferral strategy used by businesses and individuals in Cincinnati and surrounding communities holding real and personal property for investment or for use in a business. Personal use of investment property must be minimized to qualify for a 1031 exchange.
The Certified Exchange Specialist on staff at Atlas 1031 has been providing 1031 exchange qualified intermediary services to professional advisers and their clients in Cincinnati since 2003.
1031 Exchange Properties
1031 exchanges are initiated on a variety of 1031 exchange properties representing real, tangible and intangible personal property. Real property must be replaced with any type of real property while personal property is replaced with like-kind and character personal property. 1031 exchange rules are followed on each 1031 exchange. The following is a partial list of 1031 exchange properties.
1031 exchanges are meticulously managed, following 1031 security and transparency procedures, depositing exchange proceeds into non commingled, interest bearing account insured by FDIC. Each 1031 exchange account utilizes either a personal identification number (PIN) known only between the Exchangor and bank or a qualified escrow account requiring two signatures to authorize exchange funds disbursement.
